Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1982, Sabrina Machado grew up in and around the cosmopolitan city for most of her young life. While being enriched by the unique culture of Brazil, Sabrina still enjoyed a normal childhood filled with reading, writing and drawing, as well as collecting comic books and playing with Barbies and stickers. An excellent student, Sabrina excelled in her academic life and applied her love of learning to other disciplines such as Ballet, Jazz, Karate and Capoeira, which is a physical discipline developed in Brazil that combines dance and martial arts. Sabrina excelled in each of these areas and won many medals in various martial arts competitions.
On a more personal level, Sabrina was a quiet child whose parents' separation at a young age caused her to be more thoughtful and contemplative than other children her age. Living with her maternal and paternal grandmothers, and benefiting from the care and encouragement of both, Sabrina completed her primary education, took piano lessons and performed in school plays.
In 1999, Sabrina relocated to Los Angeles to live with her mother, who had moved to the United States ten years earlier. Sabrina completed her secondary education by attending Redondo Union High School and Redondo Shores Continuation School where she earned scholarships and awards along the way. During this time, Sabrina, a native Portuguese speaker, became fluent in the English language.
While attending high school, Sabrina worked as a waitress at a local Mexican restaurant and was later promoted to its manager, where she learned her third language, Spanish. While working as a restaurant manager, Sabrina decided to further her education by attending Santa Monica College where she took a variety of courses which included an emphasis in Psychology and Business.
Around the age of 21, after completing two years of college while working full time, Sabrina felt she needed some changes in her life. Specifically, she needed to "to do some things I had never had the courage to do," to use her own words. With her decision made, Sabrina's life would change forever.
Thereafter, Sabrina participated in reality dating shows which included "Blind Date," "Fifth Wheel," "Elimidate" and Spanish equivalents such as "Buscando Amor" and "Segunda Cita." After been exposed to the television and film world by having appeared in these shows, Sabrina found her calling and immediately started auditioning for acting and modeling positions. Recognizing her natural talent and beauty, Sabrina was booked for principal parts in television shows such as "Punk'd" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." She was also cast in a supporting role in the feature film 'Prince of Swine,' as well as several music videos for various artists including Eminem, Timbaland Nelly Furtado, Twista and Pitbull, among others. All this exposure has led to a very successful modeling career which has included numerous print campaigns, tradeshows and commercials.
Sabrina currently hosts two television shows; one for the Independent Persian Channel "MTC" where she hosts its "Music Top 10 and Entertainment News Show." She also hosts BMWPulse.com TV where she interviews and reports on all the major news on BMW's and the high-end car industry. Most recently, Sabrina modeled for the Brazil edition of Playboy Magazine, an international men's magazine. Sabrina continues her education constantly by taking personal and professional courses and seminars and traveling to nations around the world.
Sabrina looks forward to a life long career and lots of growth in the entertainment industry doing modeling, major network television and films worldwide. She is grateful to all of her friends and fans who have supported her throughout her life and career.
